  8. Thanks! I make my own chicken and turkey stock but haven’t done veggie yet. Wonder if it’s too late to pull those red pepper scraps out of the compost bin (answer: yes)!

    • LOL! Just start a bag of new veggie scraps in the freezer! I use this vegetable stock in place of chicken and beef bullion (unless the beef flavor is really important)…the flavor is really rich….one thing, though: I only put organic scraps in the stock bag–otherwise I have this mental picture of a pesticide soup since it is mostly the outside peels, etc in the bag…and, of course, wash the veggies off really, really well before placing in the bag.
